Spirituality can be a great source of strength, connection, hope and meaning as you and your family cope with cancer and its impact on your lives. Our chaplain is available to talk with you before, during or after treatments to listen to your unique story and provide support through the challenges you are facing.
Hollings Cancer Center provides spiritual care to meet the needs of patients and their families while respecting their individual values, beliefs and religious orientation. Even people who do not think of themselves as religious often find strength and comfort through attention to their spiritual needs. Since spirituality is at the core of what gives each person's life meaning and is intrinsically personal, we offer these services on an interfaith or individual basis honoring the broad diversity of religious practices and beliefs.
To schedule an appointment, simply ask your physician or a staff member at the Hollings Cancer Center. You can also contact the Chaplain, Fred E. Thompson, Jr., M.Div., directly at 843-792-2123 (pager #12255) or firstname.lastname@example.org or download and submit the Hollings Chaplain Form (PDF) to the Hollings registration desk in the lobby.
Personalized patient care is at the center of everything we do. And no one tells the story better than our patients themselves. Meet some of our patients and hear about their cancer journey.
At Hollings, we are working to reduce the cancer burden across South Carolina through cancer prevention and education programs, statewide partnerships, and a focus on reaching underserved populations through a variety of programs.Prevention & Early Detection
