The Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) Clinical Scholar Program is an exciting opportunity for clinically and research active M.D.s and M.D./Ph.D.s spanning a range of cancer-related specialties.
The HCC’s continued leadership in academic medicine depends on its faculty’s ability to balance the interconnected roles of healers, teachers, and investigators. By fostering the careers of junior and senior physician-scientists and enabling state-of-the-art cancer relevant research, this program aims to facilitate breakthrough discoveries that directly improve clinical care of cancer patients.
The HCC Clinical Scholar Program is specifically intended to provide outstanding Assistant, Associate, and full Professors dedicated time to focus on cancer-related clinical investigations. Clinical Scholars will receive 20% salary funding for up to two years and an additional $5,000 in discretionary funding for research-related purposes.
