Jim BrookJames P. Brook, MBA

Oncology Service Line
Mr. Brook has more than 30 years in clinical oncology management, including positions at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Indiana University. He works closely with physicians, nurses and other allied health leaders to coordinate and grow multidisciplinary treatment and supportive care programs beneficial to patients at Hollings Cancer Center and its hospital affiliates.

Carla FrichtelCarla S. Frichtel, MBA

Interim Associate Director,
At Hollings, Ms. Frichtel works closely with the Director and other members of the senior and programmatic leadership to build and support the research infrastructure crucial to Hollings’ mission. She identifies new cancer research opportunities and develops resources to support these and existing efforts. Ms. Frichtel also serves as the Director of MUSC’s Office of Research Development.

Debbie BordeauDebbie L. Bordeau

Ms. Bordeau leads the Hollings Development team to secure philanthropic support to fund cancer research, clinical care and outreach and prevention efforts at Hollings. Working with community leaders, volunteers, corporate leaders and grateful patients, her team continues to change what’s possible through charitable giving. Ms. Bordeau has over 20 years of fundraising experience.

Debbie BryantDebbie C. Bryant, DNP, RN

Outreach & Community Relations
Dr. Bryant leads Hollings outreach efforts, which include the Mobile Health Unit and Patient Navigation Program. She has extensive experience in building partnerships and community-based programs designed to reach unique populations to facilitate access to cancer care. She is a recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Community Health Leaders Award and a RWJF Executive Nurse Fellow.

Alan EdwardsAlan H. Edwards, MHA

Director, Operations & Finance
Oncology System
Mr. Edwards handles the operations and finance of the oncology service line and affiliate partner organizations. He works closely with physicians, administrators and clinical staff to establish oncology programs at our affiliate organizations and ensures collaboration with the oncology service line at Hollings. Mr. Edwards has nine years’ experience in oncology operations, finance and management and is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Andie EdwardsAndie Edwards, CCRP

Assistant Director,
Research Development
Ms. Edwards works with Hollings Cancer Center senior leaders to attain the center’s strategic goals and expand the center’s research initiatives. She assists HCC members with the development and management of large, center-wide grants including the Cancer Center Support Grant for National Cancer Institute designation. She oversees the American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant, K12 Paul Calabresi Career Development for Clinical & Translational Oncology Program, T32 Postdoctoral Integrative Training in Oncogenic Signaling Program, and the Hollings Cancer Center pilot project program.

Terri MatsonTerri L. Matson

Administrative Director,
Clinical Trials Office
Ms. Matson has directed the Hollings Cancer Center's Clinical Trials Office for more than a decade. She brings together clinical investigators with basic scientists or cancer prevention and control researchers to develop cancer-focused investigator initiated trials. She works closely with Hollings members to support the clinical, regulatory and financial components of their clinical trials.

Heidi StroupHeidi S. Stroup

Senior Campaign Manager,
MUSC Health
Heidi Stroup is charged with building strategic marketing campaigns which support brand elevation, business growth and stakeholder engagement for Hollings Cancer Center. She works with resources across the MUSC enterprise to ensure cohesive development, scheduling and monitoring of both consumer and provider campaigns. Ms. Stroup has 20 years’ experience in strategic marketing, advertising and communications.

Diane WallaceDiane M. Wallace

Business Manager,
Ms. Wallace oversees the financial activities of the Hollings Cancer Center. This includes monitoring the use of available funds to ensure that Hollings maximizes its resources. Her focus is on supporting the decision-making processes to ensure fiscal responsibility. She brings more than 30 years of hospital and medical center finance expertise to her role.
